Dining Room - Blackboard Walls

Good morning. Now, I learned about Dining Room - Blackboard Walls. Which may be very helpful in my opinion therefore you. Blackboard Walls

When I painted my solid oak kitchen cabinets black and found that I de facto loved the look, I was seeking ways to keep that clean, more contemporary look going while staying a bit country too. I wanted to showcase my old Hoosier Cabinet with its beautiful golden oak patina, knowing that a black wall would set it off perfectly, I began to think of "practical" applications and thought of blackboard paint.

What I said. It just isn't the final outcome that the actual about Dining Room. You read this article for home elevators that need to know is Dining Room.

The first thing I did-- to see how well the blackboard paint would be to work with-- was to paint a cabinet door front from our old kitchen island. I painted the inner panel of the cabinet door with the blackboard paint and let it "cure" before I took a piece of white chalk and used the side of the chalk to cover the whole painted surface; then I wiped it down with a microfiber cloth. This process allows writing on the surface without leaving permanent marks.

Blackboard paint can be washed down with a damp cloth and dried. Now I have a cabinet door with a blackboard town that I can prop up against a chair or wall and use as a Menu Board; it's a fun way to add some interest to a party or extra dinner.

Once I was happy with the look and workings of the blackboard paint, I painted the upper two thirds of my wall, which has a chair rail and a coordinating paint color to my dining room decor. I applied any coats of blackboard paint to ensure an even coverage, using a short napped roller for as level a discontinue as I could achieve.

Once the wall was finished, my husband added additional moldings to "frame" the new blackboard, and we moved the Hoosier Cabinet back in place; it looks excellent against the black wall. I will mention that I have vital light in this room, so the idea of a black wall wasn't a concern for me.

I have long wanted to put up a transfer on my dining room wall that was extra to our family and found a company that will put in order any font and phrase in a range of colors. Now with my blackboard wall, it seemed the right time to go send and have something unique and colorful at the same time. Selecting the right colors to bring out the color of the cabinet and a second color for an accent proved to be the finishing touch for our updating our previously dated dining room.

This experiment is a good case in point: it is possible to be a petite contemporary and a petite county at the same time. When my daughter's artist friends come by, they always draw something fun and interesting; kids young and old never seem to tire of drawing on a blackboard.
